FRIDAY, APRIL 22, 2016: Community Compline and Kiss of Forgiveness followed by dinner sponsored by the Youth Ministry (including Hope and Joy) and Palm Folding 6pm.
SATURDAY, APRIL 23, 2016: Saturday of Lazarus – Orthros 8:15am, Teaching Divine Liturgy at 9am, followed by a community sponsored Lenten Breakfast and Church cleaning/decorating. Everyone is invited to bring a breakfast dish and help with a deep cleaning and decorating of our sanctuary in preparation for Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Pascha. We will clean the pews, windows, candle stands in the Narthex, vacuum, organize shelves with services by the altar area etc., and decorate the Church with palms. The cleaning starts usually around 11am and lasts for about three hours depending on how many people stay to help. HOLY FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2016 AT 7PM: Myrrh Bearing Girls event. All girls 5 and older are invited to participate in the Holy Friday evening service as a Myrrh Bearer. SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2016 FOLLOWING DIVINE LITURGY: End of the year Youth Picnic. All Hope and Joy parents are invited to help with this event. We will need to set up and break down and most of the food will be brought by the entire Youth Ministry (potluck) but we need a handful of parents to run the grill (hotdogs and hamburgers).
