Important Announcement from Fr. Lou
Dear St. Catherine Parishioners,
Our annual “Opa Ball” is just around the corner, on Saturday, February 25, at 6pm for cocktails and 7pm for dinner. This year’s Committee under the direction of Co-chairs Laura Yeros and Pam Weinroth has been working diligently to make this year’s Opa an excellent experience and success for our parish as well. The theme is: “A Mediterranean Cruise”.
I write this letter for two reasons: 1) To strongly encourage all to attend this event. Our response as of now has been very low. This is the only fund raiser for our parish. Just to give a little history, St. Catherine decided to have the Opa Ball in its first years of existence. A festival was offered, however it was decided to opt for the Opa Ball which became the only major fund raising event other than stewardship for our parish. The Opa has been offered annually since that time. Please, as you are able, do your best with your family and friends to attend this year’s Opa Ball: 2) The Committee needs help to set up and pick up carpet squares. The set up will be on Friday, February 24, beginning at 8am, and the picking back up of the squares will be on Sunday, February 26, following church. Oftentimes we have youth assist but that is not possible this year because we have to set up on Friday during the day when they are in school.
If you are interested in attending the Opa or would like further information, please contact either Laura Yeros or Pam Weinroth through the church office at 303-773-3411. If you are able to help set up or pick up carpet squares, please e-mail Natasha Bealer at natashkab1@yahoo.com, or contact her through the church office.
Let’s do our very best to support our parish.
Our Lord’s blessings be with you,
Fr. Lou Christopulos
